European Institute of Vedic Studies
Founded in 1998 the European Institute of Vedic Studies exists for the educational development of ancient Indian sciences.
Our primary goal since 1998 is the propagation of Ayurveda as a health system. We also publish books concerning Ayurveda, Jyotish and other aspects of Indian philosophy, culture and scriptures in French. In English we publish text books for schools or serious students of Ayurveda. Eventually the Institute will develop other aspects of Indian culture through publications.
Founded and directed by Vaidya Atreya Smith the institute provides education and guidance in all aspects of Ayurveda. We hope you enjoy looking through the website!

After completion of the first part (e-learning) students qualify for the second level - a three week clinical studies program in India with Dr Sunil V. Joshi. The Third level on using medicinal plants according to Ayurveda is taught by Vaidya Atreya Smith. The total hours for this course are 1250.

Disclaimer - It has come to my attention that a person named Alex is using my name and explaining ’how to use’ formulas that I provide in my writings and to students. People should be aware that this person has no affiliation with me, with my school, nor is he authorized to even comment on my work. This man was my assistant for several years and I trained him to teach anatomy / physiology and pathology as per the three Doshas. I never trained him in diagnosis, treatments and most certainly not in herbal medicine. This person is using my name and work for his own ends. Anyone can learn more by studying my books - listening to, or reading this man will only create confusion in your mind. As an example, even after working for years in Ayurveda he was unable to understand this basic concept in the Caraka Samhita - read me.
