While in the USA Vaidya Kumar was forced to go duck hunting with four doctors one day. Included in the group were a GP, a pediatrician, a psychiatrist, and a surgeon. After a time, a bird came winging overhead. The first to react was the GP who raised his shotgun, but then hesitated.
"I’m not quite sure it’s a duck," he said, "I think that I will have to get a second opinion." And of course by that time, the bird was long gone.
Another bird appeared in the sky thereafter. This time, the pediatrician drew a bead on it. He too, however, was unsure if it was really a duck in his sights and besides, it might have babies. "I’ll have to do some more investigations," he muttered, as the creature made good its escape.
Next to spy a bird flying was the sharp-eyed psychiatrist. Shotgun shouldered, he was more certain of his intended prey’s identity.
"Now, I know it’s a duck, but does it know it’s a duck?" The fortunate bird disappeared while the fellow wrestled with this dilemma.
Finally, a fourth fowl sped past and this time the surgeon’s weapon pointed skywards. BOOM!! The surgeon lowered his smoking gun and turned nonchalantly to Vaidya Kumar beside him.
"Go see if that was a duck, will you?"
Vaidya Kumar visits a hospital in America to see how modern medicine functions in the USA. Just when he is touring the emergency room a man with a heart attack is brought into the hospital. The doctor in charge examens him and tells him that he will not live unless he has a heart transplant right away. A nurse runs into the room and says, "You’re in luck, two hearts just became available. One belongs to an attorney and the other to a social worker".
Vaidya Kumar quickly responds, "Take the attorney’s".
The doctor says, "How could you possible know which heart is better?”
Vaidya Kumar says, "Well, we all know that social workers have bleeding hearts and the attorney’s never use theirs. So take the attorney’s!"
Vaidya Kumar goes to work in America, a girl comes into his office for a checkup. As she takes off her blouse, he notices a red ’H’ on her chest. "How did you get that mark on your chest?" asks the doctor. "Oh, my boyfriend went to Harvard and he’s so proud of it he never takes off his Harvard sweatshirt, even when we make love," she replies.
A couple of days later, another girl comes in for a checkup. As she takes off her blouse, he notices a blue ’Y’ on her chest. "How did you get that mark on your chest?" asks the doctor. "Oh, my boyfriend went to Yale and he’s so proud of it that he never takes off his Yale sweatshirt, even when we make love," she replies.
A couple of days later, another girl comes in for a checkup. As she takes off her blouse, he notices a green ’M’ on her chest. Vaidya Kumar thinks that he has American women figured out so he asks, "Do you have a boyfriend at Michigan?"
"No”, she answers, “but I have a girlfriend at Wisconsin, why do you ask?"
