Dear Friends and Collegues,

it is with great pleasure that I present you the Master Course on “Health Systems, Traditional and Non Conventional Medicine” of the University of Milano - Bicocca Faculty of Sociology with the collaboration of the Faculty of Medicine.

Our School, Ayurvedic Point is Collaborative Center of this event and we have been also appointed for the teaching of Ayurveda.

The master provides participants with tools of theoretical and practical knowledge useful for the formation of professionals capable of integration economic and management aspects with those of clinical care and different medicines. Provides tools for quantitative and qualitative analysis of health related issues, aimed at the design and evaluation of health systems at regional, National and International levels and the study of health inequalities. Confers poker to tackle the issue of health, person-centered medicine, traditional medicine and non-conventional systems of health based anthropology. Professional growth and expertise to improve the management of the Hospitals, care institutions, health centers’, in line with the new demand of care. Provides tools for the development of managerial skills in key roles in planning, programming, monitoring and evaluation research, within the complex management of health services and nursing research.

This Master is a very important event in the developmental frame of CAM in Italy, but, for its technical and political implications, it has particular relevance for Ayurveda.

At the same time it will be published the Book "Education in Traditional and Non Conventional Medicines in Italy: state of art, needs and perspectives" edited by Prof. Mara Tognetti, Dr. Paolo Roberti di Sarsina and Prof. Gian Franco Gensini, of which we will contribute the Chapter on Ayurveda. The book will become one of the basic textbook of the MasterCourse.
